Xplane 11 747 upgrade#
We were expecting most of these things to be fixed in V2, but for the $30 upgrade price tag they pretty much just added new windows and slightly improved exterior textures, which, (rightly in my opinion), caused a pretty severe uproar in the X-Plane community. Not to mention the FMC is pretty much the default one. The sounds are atrocious, (no FMOD for some reason), the textures are laughable, (especially in the cockpit), there’s no cabin modeled except for the upstairs, (which is fairly understandable considering the size of the aircraft and the fact that this is something most people aren’t too concerned about, but something basic would have been nice), and the flight model isn’t anything to write home about. I haven’t flown it in months and can’t really see myself doing it again anytime soon if ever since there are just so many things wrong with it, it doesn’t even come close to matching the sort of quality that we’ve grown to expect from payware aircraft in that price range and I doubt it ever will. That’s coming from a 747 fanboy and someone whose second X-Plane addon ever was the 747-8i. If I were you I wouldn’t waste your money on SSG.
